Introducing a proven poolside concept into a new geographic and seasonal context.
AURA Montenegro is located within Porto Montenegro, part of a larger masterplan development. Working alongside Sunset Hospitality, the project involved adapting an established Aura brand into a new market while supporting its expansion beyond its original locations in Dubai and Turkey. The scope included operational strategy and design to prepare the venue for both immediate opening and future phased growth.

The challenge
Opening a complete and functioning venue while designing for an incomplete future.
The project needed to be delivered within a matter of months to meet the high season, while also accounting for additional restaurants and components that would be introduced over time. The tension was between creating a fully operational destination at launch and maintaining enough flexibility for the concept to expand without disrupting what was already built. The risk was either overbuilding too early or limiting future phases through initial design decisions.


The APPROACH
Defining the operational logic of the entire site before resolving the individual spaces.
An overarching operational strategy was developed to map how the venue would grow in phases, allowing each addition to integrate into a consistent system. This ensured that early design and planning decisions would not restrict future development, while still delivering a cohesive experience from day one. Brand standards were used as a baseline, then adapted to suit the specific conditions of the site.

Phased Growth Compatibility
The layout supports the introduction of additional restaurants and functions without disrupting the initial operation.
Operational Efficiency
Shared service infrastructure allows pool club and dining components to run concurrently without conflict.

The venue is structured to perform at full capacity during peak season from the moment it opens.

We contributed to the launch of a complete destination while keeping it open to expansion over time.
We provided a replicable framework for scaling the Aura brand into new markets without losing operational consistency or flexibility.
